Our next Google AdWords seminar is Tuesday week, 8 February
Google AdWords is Pay Per Click (PPC), and is the easiest way to get to page 1 of a search engine. But, you can waste a lot of money getting there.
Come and hear the lessons learned and techniques we employ in our own PPC campaigns. Attend our next Google AdWords seminar 10am-2pm Tuesday week (8 Feb). More information about this seminar here.
As a valued newsletter subscriber we’re offering a special price of £29 ex VAT per head (£10 off) – but only for people on our newsletter. To receive this offer please use the discount code 10off. FYI, we now provide lunch at each seminar.
Our client Jess could get a dance with Vince, but Dave wasn’t having it...
Jessica Elliott is founder of Dancing After School – which provides dance classes to schools at breakfast, lunchtime and after school.
Launching a year ago they’ve already helped thousands of children access dance across London. As a company their service not only helps children grow in confidence and keep fit, but it’s also a useful service for working parents - as their clubs often extend the school day.
Jess also has a Saturday dance school, called J’s Dance Factory, based in South London where children can come and train in ballet and street dance.
Recently Jess got the opportunity to interview the Party leaders Nick Clegg and Ed Milliband, as well as Business Secretary Vince Cable and the Prime Minister David Cameron.
Jess told me "It was a great opportunity to quiz them and many other senior politicians on how they plan to offer more support to SMEs in the UK. I even got the pleasure of being taught some Latin dance moves by Vince Cable. I reported for the community channel and The Times newspaper".
A documentary of Jess’ journey to the party conferences was made called ‘Strictly Politics’, you can view it here .
Have a great week.

Smart phone apps due to explode in 2011
If 2010 wasn’t already big for apps, 2011 is shaping up to be even bigger. There are now more than 700,000 apps available on iPhones, Android, BlackBerry and Windows 7 devices.
And more than 14 billion, yes billion, apps have been downloaded to date. It looks like a very smart early move by Apple to lead the app market - they stand to take $2bn (half the app market revenue) in 2011.
With smart phones growing 53% in 2010 and are due to surge another 29% in 2011, the app market is only going to get bigger (it’s estimated to be worth $27bn p.a. by 2013). read more...

TECH TIP OF THE MONTH:
How to monetise a blog

Recently a few people asked me about this, so I did a little digging. Here are three different ways, and tools you could use, to monetise your site if you have a lot of traffic.
Google AdSense (Pay Per Click or Per Impression advertising): an ad serving platform by Google. It allows online publishers to earn revenue by displaying relevant ads on a wide variety of online content. In early 2010 Google was earning 30% of its revenue from AdSense.
SkimLinks (affiliate marketing): allows you to easily tap into a network of 12,000+ affiliates, who will pay you a commission of any sales that come from your site.
MemberWing (member subscription model): with this WordPress plugin simply partition content in your blog to up to 4 levels (e.g. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum membership). If a reader is not at the appropriate level the article cuts-off there and asks them to subscribe to access more content. Plenty of other goodies here too.
