2010; the Year of 3D
Right from the start of the year 3D has been the new technology. Almost every television manufacturer has a 3D version shipping this year. The sports channels are already trialling 3D content and of course Avatar and Alice have graced the cinemas. This week Nintendo have announced the arrival of a 3D handheld that requires no glasses within the next 12 months. Samsung are jumping on the band wagon with 3D monitors so you may even start seeing 3D websites. We thought we’d step ahead of the trend and produce some lovely 3D content you can view without a new monitor or ridiculous glasses.
OK, so it may not be the most impressive of 3D technology, but it’s still pretty funky. The image below is a Stereogram of our logo and company name:

You can also make stereogram movies, though our eyes hurt after a while so it may be a while before you see a Lucidica movie :)
If you’d like to make your own stereogram or would like to while a few more hours staring oddly at your screen get yourself over to http://www.easystereogrambuilder.com; you can even add text and send you friend’s odd 3D messages.
