Mind control your computer, or transfer your thoughts to the screen

2010 will bring with it many consumer devices that allow you to manipulate your computer by just thinking about it. Back in April this year Adam Wilson was updating Twitter just by thinking about it.
The technology is still largely a novelty due to lack of acuity, but applications have already been found in the gaming world, and Emotiv launched their new mind-reading product this week.
It’s not just manipulation either - imagine having the image in your head appear on the screen in front of you as you shape it in your mind. Jack Gallant has managed to create crude reconstructions of what people are thinking based just on their brain activity. They are not exactly ‘usable’ yet but soon your thoughts may not be your own. .
