Our History
Lucidica was founded in 2001 and since then has undergone steady growth in sales, its client base and number of staff. Our passion of helping clients with any technology problem, or adding value through advice and consulting, has not waned since day one.
We have always focused on our core service – providing I.T. services and support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in greater London. In recent years we began offering websites and intranets as part of our services, in response to client demands of “an I.T. company that will simply do what they say they will”. Further, since websites and email became such an integral part of business marketing and communication, we also began offering high quality, reliable hosting to our clients. And increasingly, we advise on and procure more-and-more products for our clients.
We have grown into a very reliable, dependable, highly knowledgeable and skilled one-stop I.T. shop for our clients. We do what we say we will, and are good at what we do – anything technology related!

Our Team
We go out of our way to find the perfect team member each time we grow that little bit more. Each and every team member at Lucidica loves what they do, and this shines through in the patient, fun and friendly attitude they have when working with our clients – of any size or technical ability.
Our Partners
Some important feedback we received from our clients early on was “you can't be an expert at everything!”, and they were right. So where we don't have a specialist in-house, or a dedicated expert team for an key area of technology (e.g. hosting, website design and development etc), we partner with an expert in that field.
The hosting we offer our clients is provided on technology supplied and monitored 24 hours a day by the UKs largest hosting wholesaler. We decided early on that it was smarter to buy server time and space from someone that specialises in only that – so they could focus on ensuring the servers were secure, reliable and fast; and we could concentrate on our core business – providing I.T. services and support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in greater London.
And our website design and development is mostly done by a carefully chosen large and experienced expert company in that field. They started in 1999 and as well as having their own retail clients, work with many companies in our situation (e.g. graphic design businesses, small media companies, other I.T. services firms). We have a lot of clients that need quality websites, but we don't want to invest in the hours and hours required to keep up with this key are of technology. The web changes so fast, and as websites weren't our core business, we again decided to partner with a leading firm in this field.
We liaise directly with our clients, conduct the overall project management and undertake testing before handing you the draft website, ready for your feedback. Our partner does the design (being Engineers, we generally don't have any style!!) and coding of the websites. Our clients get the best of both worlds – they still work with our fun and friendly Engineers, but the hard work of creating the perfect design and then building a website with current methods and techniques, is left to an expert. The result is not only a higher quality website but also a faster project – which means less project time and our fees are lower - your overall value is just superb!
Our Clients
We work with businesses with 1 to over 100 staff. Some clients have grown so big over the years they now have offices all around the UK and even overseas (which we continue to successfully support remotely).
Our target market is the micro and small businesses, 1 – 20 staff. We find they are just the right size for us, as they don't have enough I.T. needs to hire a full-time Engineer, but appreciate having a knowledgeable and reliable I.T. Department available 24 hours a day. That's not to say we wouldn't work with medium and large businesses, because we do!! Some of our larger clients include:

And when our medium and large clients get to a size and I.T. need, which provide greater value from having their very own Engineer on-site, we not only make this recommendation to them but help them recruit and train that new team member. We benefit because their new on-site Engineer will handle most of the 1st line support items, and escalate the 2nd and 3rd line to us - as well as consulting projects. When their Engineer is too busy, or away sick or on holidays, we do the 1st line work as well. Our medium and large clients can grow with great scale and support in their technical team, and get the greatest value from Lucidica.
