We’re short-listed for the 2010 London Business Awards

2010 London Business Awards Lucidica short-listedAbout a month ago, on Wednesday 24 November 2010, a few of us trundled off to the HSBC-sponsored ‘London Business Awards’.  We had 2 Apprentices short-listed for ‘Apprentice of The Year’ award, and Lucidica was short-listed for the ‘Best Marketing’ award.

While we didn’t walk away with either title, it was an honour to make the short-list of these prestigious business awards – we’re just a lil’ old IT support company in London after all.  Our team has worked hard over the years to not only develop our Apprenticeship program – through our social enterprise, ResponsibleIT CIC – but also our brand and overall marketing.  It was a tremendous boost for everyone to be recognised by an external party for our efforts in these corners of the business.

Getting our small business to page 1 of Google with our ‘Google Gin’ bet in early 2009 was one aspect the judges took note of when short-listing us.  There are around a billion results, yes ‘billion’, for our primary search phrase – ‘IT support London’ – so to be in the top 10 of those billion, was impressive.

The feedback we got also said out flyers, postcards, business cards, website and overall brand had great consistency and polish.
